In September of 2019, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Sudha Rao, the founder of 'Just Beat It' bakes. Sudha had planned to organise a pop up at WeWork, Mumbai and needed assistance with it. It was a three day process where:

Day 1 & Day 2 consisted of all the prep work and baking.

Day 3 was the day pop up was displayed at WeWork.

Days 1 and 2 were pretty similar. We were prepping for the bake sale, doing what we loved while having a really great conversation.

On the second day, we were joined by Ira who had come to assist Sudha as well. The three of us worked really well together!

Day 3 was really important for both Sudha's pop up and me. It involved conversing with customers; whether it was selling them the delicious goods we baked or telling them more about 'Just Beat It' bakes. I am a really shy and quiet person so this was a little out of my comfort zone. But I wanted to push myself to become more confident. Surprisingly, conversing with the customers was one of my favourite moments of this entire experience! It seems like a really small thing when I am putting it down in words but it was a really big achievement for me and my growth. The pop up went so well! We were sold out of almost everything. You take something away from every experience and with this one in particular, I not only took a step out of my comfort zone but was also so grateful to meet Sudha! She is a such wonderful and warm person who

will make you feel at home even if she has just met you!

I am still in touch with her and she is like a mentor to me. If you haven’t already, go follow 'Just Beat It' bakes on Instagram!

For those wondering what was on the menu, we made:

• Orange Loaf Cake Slices

• Chocolate Brownies

• Chocolate Cake Slices with Ganache Frosting

• Spiced Carrot Cake with Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting (MY FAVOURITE OUT OF THE LOT!)

I don't have proper pictures of everything but the items displayed in the picture are the brownies and the carrot cake.☺️

I hope you all enjoyed this blog. Subscribe to my Weekly Newsletter if you haven't already so you don't miss out on any of my uploads. Thanks for reading, I hope to see you again!
